Hitting It Out of the Park: Celebrating Our Soar24 Customer Awards
One of the highlights of hosting our very first major in-person event, Soar24, was the opportunity to recognize some of our customers for their incredible achievements this year. Thanks to our partners at Amazon Business, we were able to host a dinner and brief awards ceremony at historic Fenway Park the evening of Soar24.
In keeping with the baseball theme, we echoed some of MLB’s famous accolades while looking out on the Green Monster. Please join us in giving a round of applause to the following individuals!
Soar24 Awards
Most Valuable Player
Randall Moore, Boston University
As one of our very first customers, BU has provided Fairmarkit with so much support over the years. They helped us to design our first SAP Ariba “create PR” integration, pioneered our self-service model, and have even provided feedback on grammar and spelling. This year, they hosted Soar ‘24 at BU’s Agganis Arena, and helped us to put on a legendary event.
Roberto Clemente Award
Conor Murchison, Snowflake
The Roberto Clemente Award is given annually to the player in Major League Baseball who best exemplifies the game of baseball, sportsmanship, community involvement, and the individual's contribution to his team. Snowflake is constantly experimenting, trying new approaches, pioneering new ideas, and providing us with honest feedback about our new features and technologies. Whenever there is a beta program, Conor and his team are the first to try it. Their design partnership has enabled us to make great strides in leveraging AI to solve real business problems.
Cy Young Award
Maddasani Sreedhar & Jim Frison, AT&T
The Cy Young Award is given annually to the best pitchers in Major League Baseball, and nobody pitches Fairmarkit like Sreedhar and Jim. Internally at AT&T, they are forces of change and innovation, encouraging stakeholders to run their own strategic sourcing events and e-auctions. They have pushed Fairmarkit to reach new heights with our ServiceNow S2P integration and RFP capabilities, sourcing over $1B in spend and saving over $80M.
Silver Slugger - Excellence in Innovation
Lin Ding, Amazon
The Silver Slugger Award is awarded annually to the best offensive player at each position as determined by Major League Baseball's coaches and managers. These voters consider several offensive categories in selecting the winners, in addition to coaches' and managers' general impressions of a player's overall offensive value.
Nobody hits it out of the park and has as many successful “at bats” as Lin’s team at Amazon. Since becoming a Fairmarkit customer, Amazon has run over 14,000 sourcing events in multiple countries and has achieved approximately $66M in savings, with extraordinarily positive reviews from internal stakeholders. Lin also holds our internal record of having the most feature and enhancement requests!
Gold Glove - Excellence in Execution
Eira Bunnell, Sonoco
The Gold Glove Award is awarded annually to the best defensive player at each position as determined by Major League Baseball's coaches and managers.
Often, success is about everyday execution and operational excellence. Eira’s team at Sonoco has rolled Fairmarkit out in multiple geographies and categories and has created a scalable program that produces reliable, actionable results. They hold themselves and their teams accountable with keen attention to detail and regular KPI reviews.
Rookie of the Year
Todd Hershberger, Howmet Aerospace
Sometimes, it’s clear right from the beginning that a Fairmarkit customer has what it takes to be immediately successful right out of the gate, and Todd’s team at Howmet Aerospace pulled off a remarkable first year. Beginning right at project inception, they were clear about success criteria, planned the right places to start, and set the right expectations with the entire project team. As a result, they launched with incredible velocity, quickly hitting all initial expectations. We look forward to a wonderful future of working with Howmet from here out!
